Nowadays, in social media there is a new genre of video title cropping up … “They are not telling you …”. Yes, clickbait – but why? Why there is a sense of public paranoia? Why is this sense of being fooled? Why is this fear of being duped?
I have a relative who is notorious for telling everyone else what they bought from market was overpriced and the seller has duped him or her. Ofcourse, nobody likes him, truly an incarnation of misery itself. He never feels happy with his marketing as well – poor fellow. I guess he lives in fear of being taken advantage of by everyone. Clearly a situation of extreme vulnerability. I call him the moluskuncle! Always afraid to be harmed!
Are we also not being him? Fear of missing out is nothing but the same insecurity and fear about a future where there is no friend – only competitor. Would you like to be in that future? I certainly would not!
May what come, I will live a life of gullible yet happy fool’s life – for like everybody – my days are numbered too.
